On the evening of Thursday, January 19th, 2022, Andres was riding the new motorcycle he had just bought a few days prior. He was involved in a solo accident around 7:00PM in an area of Escondido near the university he graduated from.

These pictures were taken on Saturday, January 23rd, 2022, around 47 hours after the incident. Please forgive the horrid picture quality. The white paint was probably used during the initial crash response and investigation.
This video was taken around 1PM on Sunday, January 24th, 2022, around 65 hours after the incident
At the scene of the incident, debris was scattered everywhere suggesting at least one violent and traumatic impact in addition to the fallout of the accident (motorcycle sliding, flipping, rolling, etc...). Although the fate of Andres' wrecked bike is unknown, a broken peg, part of the seat assembly, part of the windscreen, and part of Andres' helmet were recovered.
There is a memorial with several bouquets of flowers and ballons at the scene of the incident.
